Crossroads Youth & Family Services, Inc. is seeking a Center Director for its Beginnings Academy location in Comanche County. Under the general supervision of the Area Supervisor, the Center Director has overall responsibility for classroom compliance with federal Head Start Performance Standards, state and local licensing standards, and the requirements of all content areas. The Center Director is responsible for day-to-day operations and activities of the job site and supervises Head Start and Early Head Start Teachers and Support Staff. The Center Director creates and manages an attractive, warm, and challenging learning environment for young children, incorporating developmentally appropriate learning activities that meet the needs of the group as well as those of individual children. Oversee day-to-day operations of the center and ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing requirements. Supervise Head Start and Early Head Start Teachers and Support Staff. Create and manage a developmentally appropriate, engaging learning environment for young children. Implement developmentally appropriate learning activities that meet group and individual child needs. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education (preferred) or Associate’s degree in childhood development or Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with experience in teaching, program administration and evaluation (preferred). Minimum three (3) years’ experience in early childhood programs required. Must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain acceptable liability insurance. Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, interpersonal, and analytical skills. Proficiency with computers and basic office equipment; knowledge of community resources and safety practices; ability to facilitate family involvement in program services. Physical, Mental and Environmental Requirements

Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, and tuberculosis test. Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation background check required. Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations; may involve prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping; lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling up to 50 lbs.
