What You Will Do In this role, you will prioritize operational execution, supporting the VP of Power Operations in ensuring efficiency, compliance, and exceptional service to our customers. You will help implement and refine SOPs, ensure timely and accurate reporting, and facilitate competitive energy supply processes as needed. While operational execution is central to the role, your technical skills will contribute to developing dashboards and reporting tools that provide actionable insights for internal teams and customers. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliant, efficient Retail Electric Provider (REP) operations. Facilitate competitive energy supply processes by collecting, organizing, and analyzing counterparty offers. Define business and functional requirements for the development team to build intuitive, actionable dashboards covering market analytics, consumption, and cost. Perform ad-hoc analytical projects to support a range of business objectives and new initiatives. Maintain working knowledge of ERCOT market updates, AI datacenter advancements, and broader energy market dynamics. Monitor incoming market and transaction data (curves, settlements, usage, etc.) to ensure accuracy and completeness. Track customer usage patterns and meter data to identify anomalies. Reconcile ERCOT settlement data (e.g., RTEIAMT, RTM, DAM, AS, UFE) and investigate discrepancies. Provide support to accounting and finance teams throughout the customer billing process. Prepare comprehensive quarterly market intelligence reports for AI datacenter customers, highlighting critical ERCOT market developments, trends, and opportunities to minimize delivered energy costs. What We Want From You Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Engineering, Data Science). Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel skills. Familiarity with ERCOT systems, such as MIS and MarkeTrak APIs. Working knowledge of ERCOT protocols, settlement charge types, and market timelines. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Python or similar programming languages for data analysis, modeling, automation, and visualization. Familiarity with statistical modeling, optimization techniques, and forecasting algorithms. Demonstrated enthusiasm for continuous learning and a strong interest in the energy sector. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Previous experience in the ERCOT market preferred Previous experience building dashboards for visualizing complex analytics preferred What We Will Provide Our benefits and perks add to a total rewards experience for our employees that foster a supportive, flexible, and inclusive environment.
