Position Description The Plant Manager leads the plant to achieve operating results and corporate initiatives while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and delivery. Responsibilities include strategic leadership, operational performance, and collaboration across functional areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of the business through strategic leadership and effective tactical management.

Coach, engage, and direct staff to deliver results that meet and exceed KPIs, including safety, quality, cost, delivery, and training.

Own plant P&L, budgets, forecasts, and implement strategy.

Review financial statements, assess performance, and identify corrective actions.

Collaborate with functional leaders to deploy strategies and initiatives aligned with company goals.

Improve manufacturing processes through asset utilization and capital investment.

Create and manage capital budgets and long‑range facility master plans.

Align manufacturing capacity with sales for strategic growth.

Lead product launches in accordance with Flawless Launch initiatives.

Champion the Shiloh Production System (SPS) and audit its implementation across value streams.

Maintain a productivity project pipeline and ensure compliance with OSHA, ISO, and other standards.

Promote best practices in safety, 5S, quality, lean, and preventive maintenance.

Establish leadership credibility through clear communication and ethical conduct.

Supervisory Responsibilities The Plant Manager manages functional managers such as Materials Manager, Controller, and Quality Lead.

Qualifications Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.

Minimum 10 years of engineering, production, or supply chain experience.

Minimum 8 years of managerial leadership, preferably in an automotive environment.

Experience with P&L accountability and long‑range operational planning.

Experience with product launches and high‑level project management.

Experience with TS, ISO standards, and audit processes.

Experience in multi‑step manufacturing operations, including robotic automation.

Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams, driving change.

Strong interpersonal skills for cross‑organizational influence.

Continuous improvement and problem‑solving proficiency.

Financial acumen related to operational budgets.

Knowledge of Toyota Production System and lean tools.

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Travel up to 10% required.

Certifications

Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement certification.
