Johnson County Clin Trials (JCCT) The purpose of the Clinical Research Recruiter is to support clinical trial success by recruiting qualified, diverse participants through strategic outreach, relationship-building, and ethical engagement, ensuring compliance with study protocols and regulatory standards. Position Summary : This position is responsible for assisting with the screening of new volunteers to identify potentially eligible candidates for research studies. This position will conduct thorough phone screens, in-person interviews and attend outreach events to determine participant eligibility for clinical research at JCCT. Clinical Functions :
Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions) : Placing multiple outbound calls daily Phone and in-person screening of potential volunteers for clinical trial participation - identify appropriate subjects and ask screening questions to determine eligibility to participate Reviewing, entering, and editing subject information in clinical research software Comprehend inclusion and exclusion criteria for each protocol Review subject's pertinent past medical history to determine eligibility Review current medications and medical conditions to determine eligibility Assess volunteer's interest and willingness to commit to the course of the trial Review subject history with study doctors or study coordinator as needed Maintain confidentiality of participant information Participate in health fairs and outreach events to promote education and exposure of clinical research sites Support the Clinical Team’s efforts by assisting with in-person pre-screening, customer relations, and sponsor relations regarding enrollment when needed Administrative : Participate in team meetings and training with clinical research staff to include reports of potential eligibility and recruitment strategies for pre-enrollment of studies Engage in regular communication with supervisor/coordinator regarding any issues Other related administrative and office duties as assigned Education And Experience : High School Diploma Required, Associate’s degree preferred Medical background or familiarity with medical terminology preferred Bilingual (Spanish/English) is required for certain positions depending on the location Familiarity with or Ability to learn clinical trial management system software Skills And Competencies : Excellent people skills, comfortable speaking on telephone and making several outbound calls a day Detail and multi-task oriented Excellent computer/data entry skills Ability to work independently Physical Requirements : Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and use hands along with fingers, to handle or feel Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds Why JCCT? : JCCT has provided exceptional customer service to clients, volunteers, and vendors for the last 20 years.
