AdventHealth Orlando Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year The Role You\'ll Contribute The Clinical Pharmacist supports the mission of the department, hospital, and health-system by preventing, identifying and resolving medication use issues to assure patient safety, improve patient satisfaction, optimize patient outcomes and minimize cost. Will perform all functions of a registered pharmacist including accurate and timely dispensing, clinical interactions with patients and healthcare team, and technician supervision. The Value You\'ll Bring To The Team Pharmacy Operations: Actively performs all pharmacist functions, maintains operational proficiency in central pharmacy and/or satellite areas, oversees medication automation, inventory management, and supervision of technicians and interns. Pharmacy Practice: Completes critical medication order scrutiny, drug profile review, patient monitoring, and communication with medical staff to resolve orders; provides patient-centered care and participates in stewardship and safety programs; manages dosing and pharmacist consults; contributes to medication safety and adverse event reporting; participates in medical emergencies and ongoing professional development. Clinical Pharmacy Services: Participates in direct patient care programs; collaborates with healthcare providers; prioritizes patient-centered care. Teamwork and Collaboration: Ensures continuity of care across shifts and practice areas; works with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes; communicates effectively with patients and colleagues. Teaching, Training, Precepting, and Mentoring: Mentors staff, supports experiential training, and delivers evidence-based education to nurses, patients, students, and pharmacy team members. Quality Improvement, Regulatory Compliance, and Accreditation: Supports quality initiatives and regulatory/accreditation processes. Qualifications Education And Experience Required Bachelor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Pharmacy, or other advanced pharmacy degree Education And Experience Preferred PGY1 Pharmacy Residency OR Three years of clinical pharmacy experience Licensure, Certification Or Registration Required Applicable State Pharmacy License BLS and ACLS Licensure, Certification Or Registration Preferred BLS, ACLS, PALS and/or NRP may be required for some facilities based on department requirements and pharmacist role This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
