Overview

AHC SGMC Behavioral Health seeks to hire an experienced Behavioral Health Occupational Therapist who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Responsibilities

Performs an initial examination and evaluation to establish impairment/diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care prior to intervention for all persons served with basic rehabilitation needs in acute care, outpatient, or inpatient rehabilitation settings (flexes to any Rehab site as needed). Provides, or directs and supervises, the therapy intervention consistent with the results of the examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, and plan of care. Involves the patient/client and appropriate others in planning, implementation, and assessment of the plan of care. Reexamines the patient/client as necessary during an episode of care to evaluate progress or change in status and modifies the plan of care accordingly or discontinues occupational therapy services. In consultation with appropriate disciplines, plans for discharge taking into consideration achievement of goals and expected outcomes, and provides for follow-up or referral. Discontinues intervention when progress is no longer possible or beneficial, in coordination with the referring provider/team where indicated. Communicates, coordinates, and documents all aspects of patient/client management, including results of examination and evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, plan of care, interventions, response to interventions, barriers to progress, changes in status, reexamination, discharge/discontinuation, and other management activities with the care team as indicated. Supervises and directs the patient care activities of assigned rehab aides, office assistants, and volunteers. Manages schedule to accommodate census range and patient load and informs management of any issues with caseload management. Attends team meetings and effectively communicates patient status, using the medical record or other treating therapists as needed to ensure knowledge of the case. Responsible for individual professional development activities. Qualifications

Bachelors, Masters, or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. 1 year of experience preferred. Active Maryland License, AHA HCP CPR, CLT from Klose or Norton for lymphedema therapists. Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Work Schedule & Pay

Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 9:00am-5:00pm Pay Range:

$34.58 - $51.87 If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process. FLSA Classification:
