This faculty member in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy will practice as a member of the multidisciplinary teams at the Anschutz Outpatient Cancer Pavilion of the University of Colorado Cancer Center (UCCC). The UCCC is located on the Anschutz Medical Campus of the University of Colorado in Aurora, Colorado. The UCCC is affiliated with the UCHealth system and is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Colorado. This faculty member will have clinical responsibilities (30% time) primarily focused in either Neurologic, Breast, or Hematology clinics (specific practice site will be determined by the time applicant screening for this position begins). In addition to clinical practice, the successful candidate will have academic responsibilities in the Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (70% time). Responsibilities include teaching/education, scholarship, and service, with active involvement in the education of pharmacy students and residents through didactic and experiential training. The faculty member is expected to teach in the Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum, serve as director for one or more courses, and actively precept PharmD students and residents. Scholarly activity to support clinical and teaching efforts and service to the school and profession are expected, along with pursuits that advance professional development as an academician. Key Responsibilities
Provide exemplary clinical care services in the area of oncology. Provide quality educational services in the Doctor of Pharmacy program, including didactic teaching, precepting experiential students, and mentoring/advising students. Serve as director or co-director for one or more courses in the Doctor of Pharmacy program. Actively participate in the training of PGY1 and PGY2 pharmacy residents, including PGY2 Oncology residents. Develop a program of scholarly/creative work focused on educational and/or clinical research, including evaluations, presentations, publications, and obtaining extramural funding. Participate in professional service activities, including university or school committee work and involvement in professional organizations. Work Location

Minimum Qualifications This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications. Assistant Professor: PharmD degree ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in oncology (or equivalent) Pharmacist licensure in Colorado (or eligibility) Board certification in oncology (BCOP) or currently pursuing certification Associate Professor: PharmD degree ASHP-accredited PGY2 residency in oncology (or equivalent) Pharmacist licensure in Colorado (or eligibility) Board certification in oncology (BCOP) or currently pursuing certification Record of scholarship, teaching, and service adequate for appointment at Associate Professor Preferred Qualifications Assistant Professor: Ambulatory oncology management experience Previous academic experience Associate Professor: Five years of ambulatory oncology management experience Five years of academic experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of Contemporary Pharmacy Practice with oncology focus Teaching ability Interpersonal and communication skills Analytical, problem-solving, planning and organizational skills Project management ability How to Apply
