Job Summary

The Division of Infectious Diseases is recruiting faculty members at the University of Colorado School of Medicine (Anschutz Medical Campus) who will have primary duties in clinical infectious diseases with a specific focus on transplant infectious diseases (TID). Responsibilities include inpatient and outpatient clinical consultative services, participation in education and mentoring, and research and scholarship in the field. This physician will contribute to the Division of Infectious Diseases by advancing its missions in medical service, research, and teaching to benefit Coloradans and citizens of surrounding states seeking care at CU Anschutz.

Applicants must have completed an accredited Infectious Diseases fellowship and be ABIM board eligible or board certified in Infectious Diseases, with completed formal TID training or TID fellowship or equivalent experience. Applicants should demonstrate aptitude for scholarly achievement; experience or potential in basic, translational or clinical research is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Infectious Disease Clinical Attending, inpatient and outpatient

Engage in teaching and mentoring of trainees and other faculty

Publish scholarly work and seek grant funding

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

This is an open rank position and could be categorized as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor based on experience and qualifications. Academic rank will be determined during the interview process after discussion of your experience and academic goals.

Assistant Professor:

MD or MD-PhD degree

Completion of ID fellowship at an accredited program

Completion of a TID fellowship or demonstrated equivalent clinical experience

Associate Professor:

MD or MD-PhD degree

Completion of ID fellowship at an accredited program

Completion of a TID fellowship or demonstrated equivalent clinical experience

Anticipated Pay Range:

Hiring ranges for Assistant Professor: $230,000 to $245,000; for Associate Professor: $250,000 to $265,000. The University’s compensation reflects a good faith estimate and is not eligible for overtime unless non-exempt. Total compensation includes generous leave, health plans and retirement contributions.
