762003 Neurophysiology IOM Expectations:
Under limited supervision, provides leadership to Neurophysiologist staff regarding department quality and customer service. Monitors a variety of surgical procedures (neurosurgery, otolaryngology, vascular, orthopedic) involving neural structures at risk. Participates in ongoing and original research to improve intraoperative monitoring (IOM) and develops staff training modules. Flexibility in hours may be required. Education:
Bachelor’s degree or Allied Health Care/Nursing credentials preferred, or equivalent work experience. Experience/Training:
Preferred - Three years of clinical experience in a related neurodiagnostic field. Licenses/Certifications:
Required - Current CNIM certification issued by ABRET within one year of hire/transfer; BLS certification from the American Heart Association. Preferred - Registration as an Evoked Potential Technologist (R. EP T). Skills:
Thorough knowledge of medical terminology. Worker Type:
