Rapidly assess and triage patients on arrival, prioritizing based on severity. Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families. Administer prescribed medications and treatments per emergency nursing protocols. Prepare equipment and assist physicians during emergency treatments and examinations. Monitor patient comfort and safety; respond to immediate needs in the ED. Document patient conditions, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR. Initiate patient education plans as appropriate to the acute care setting. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care. Adhere to hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards. Qualifications
One year of recent ER RN experience. Valid RN license in the applicable state. Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC). Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC). Current PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification. Preferred: TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, SANE certifications; other certifications or licenses may be required for this position. Benefits
