Department : INNOVATIVE FERTILITY JOINT VENTURE (600) Shift : Day, Weekends Employment Status : Per Diem Hours per Pay Period : 0.01 = per diem (as needed) (Non-Exempt) Starting Wage DOE : $30.53 - $38.16 Essential Job Functions

Provides nursing assessment and initiates nursing care to all patients; works collaboratively within the department; provides timely, professional reproductive endocrinology nursing services Billings Clinic patients. Applies evidence-based nursing practice to the care of women over the course of their lifespan. Integrates education and research into practice through standards and guidelines. Data collection and assessment establish goals and priorities in accordance with patient care, staff needs, and organizational objectives. Nurses are accountable for the quality of care rendered. Utilizes a holistic approach, incorporating the nursing process into the plan of care for the patient, including biophysical, psychosocial, environmental, self-care, educational, and discharge planning. Plans, organizes, implements, evaluates and documents family-centered care by promoting a safe and therapeutic environment for women, newborns, family, significant others, and care providers. Aligns care with Billings Clinic values/goals and policies. Maintains appropriate theoretical and clinical skills with application of department-specific equipment, pharmacological knowledge, and interpretation of laboratory values and radiologic findings in relation to disease processes. Clinical/Technical Patient Interaction and Communication: Perform routine patient assessment, respond to calls professionally, provide patient education and ensure understanding of diagnosis and treatment with documentation. Clinical Workflow/Responsibilities: Meet with team members to discuss treatment plan; develop written nurse plan; schedule IVF start date and coordinate cycle; advise and encourage patient upon cycle completion; assist physician with in-office procedures; respond to prescription refill requests within 24 hours; coordinate in-office and out-of-office procedures with urology services and Outpatient Surgery Center; document care in patient records; maintain safe and clean environment; follow infection-control policies; manage laboratory values and semen analysis communications; comfort patients by addressing anxieties; ensure quality care by adhering to standards and regulations; participate in quality control and compliance standards; OR recovery duties as indicated. Other duties include: implement treatment plan, order medications, administer injections, obtain informed consents, provide injection instructions and treatment option explanations to patients, and offer anticipatory guidance and emotional support during treatment cycles. Provide patients with resources and act as a liaison between patients and healthcare providers. Support and model Billings Clinic’s mission, values and conduct; meet mandatory organizational and department requirements; maintain competency in standards related to environment, safety and job performance. Department or Level Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Practice within the scope of Registered Nurse and in accordance with The Standards for Professional Nursing Practice in the Care of Women and Newborns as outlined by AWHONN. Minimum Qualifications

Education Associate Degree of Nursing from an accredited school of nursing. BSN required for candidates with fewer than 5 years of registered nursing experience. Experience 2 years established clinical nursing experience. Women’s health and REI/IVF experience, preferred. Certifications and Licenses Current Montana state license as a Registered Nurse Billings Clinic is Montana’s largest health system serving Montana, Wyoming and the western Dakotas.
