Overview
This Lab Tech 2 position is responsible for providing high quality customer service to ensure timely and accurate specimen handling throughout the respective laboratory sections, includes internal and external customers (i.e. clients, physicians, patient care services staff, allied health staff care services personnel and DPLM coworkers) while working in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities
Specimen handling and distribution
Use of Information Systems
Specimen collection (phlebotomy and SWCL) in accordance with CMH policies and procedures as applicable
Customer service to internal and external customers in accordance with CMH shared values and service excellence programs
Performance of waived to moderate complexity testing and reporting; and/or specimen processing and preparation under appropriate supervision, following in-depth training and competency assessment procedures
Maintains general operations of the laboratory; performs quality assurance activities
Qualifications
Associate's Degree or Equivalent of 60 hours of college credits including biological science and 1-2 years experience phlebotomy or lab experience; student lab experience may be considered

Starting Pay
The pay range for this job begins at $23.02/hr, with offers determined based on education and experience.
Remote Work
This position is not eligible to work remotely and requires onsite work at one of our Children\'s Mercy locations. #LI-Onsite
