Base pay range
$65.00/hr - $68.00/hr Monitor patients' vital signs and cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment. Assess patients for signs of deterioration or complications, particularly related to cardiac conditions. Administer prescribed medications, intravenous fluids, and treatments as directed by physicians. Perform diagnostic tests, interpret telemetry results, and respond to any abnormal findings (e.g., arrhythmias). Provide care for patients with chronic and acute medical conditions, including those with heart disease, hypertension, or post-surgical recovery. Clinical Decision Making: Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment and physician orders. Adjust care plans in response to changes in patients' conditions or vital signs. Participate in interdisciplinary team rounds to discuss patient progress and treatment adjustments. Respond promptly to patient needs and provide immediate interventions for critical conditions. Educate patients and families on managing cardiac conditions, including the importance of medication adherence, lifestyle changes, and self-monitoring of health. Offer guidance and support for lifestyle modifications to improve long-term health outcomes (e.g., diet, exercise). Provide education on the use of medical devices such as pacemakers or heart monitors. Documentation: Accurately document patient care in the electronic health record (EHR), including vital signs, medications, treatments, and patient progress. Track telemetry data and document changes in the patients condition. Ensure that all documentation complies with hospital policies and regulatory requirements. Work closely with physicians, cardiologists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Participate in team discussions and provide feedback on patients progress. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care. Quality Improvement & Safety: Follow hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure optimal patient care and safety. Monitor patients for signs of complications (e.g., arrhythmias, respiratory distress) and report significant changes in condition. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs to improve care outcomes. Adhere to infection control practices and prevent the spread of infection in the unit.

Qualifications
Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program. Licenses/Certifications: Valid state RN license. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required. Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience in an acute care setting, particularly in telemetry, cardiac care, or medical-surgical nursing. Experience with telemetry equipment, ECG monitoring, and cardiac arrhythmias is strongly preferred. Seniority level
