This position serves the Department as a full-time comprehensive ophthalmologist. A comprehensive list of duties and expectations will be outlined in an MSP Physician contract upon appointment. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position California medical license Board certification required. MD (Doctor of Medicine) or DO (Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine) required Successful completion of an ophthalmology residency at the time of appointment No minimum work experience required Knowledge, training, and skills to treat patients needing comprehensive ophthalmic care at a level expected by the medical staff requirements of UC Davis Health Comprehensive understanding of medical and clinical sciences across a range of specialties Familiarity with current diagnostic methods, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices Knowledge of public health principles and infection control protocols Awareness of ethical, legal, and regulatory standards in healthcare delivery Understanding of hospital/clinic policies, documentation systems, and electronic health records (EHR) Skills Key Responsibilities
