School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) - Fontana, California
Provide essential speech and language support to K-12 students as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic school setting located in Fontana, CA. This contract position, covering a leave duration, involves working onsite to implement individualized plans in collaboration with licensed Speech‑Language Pathologists, ensuring students receive the highest standard of care and development assistance.
Responsibilities
Deliver direct and indirect speech‑language services in alignment with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate under the supervision of licensed Speech‑Language Pathologists to meet student communication goals
Maintain clear, professional communication with students, parents, and staff, even during high‑stress situations
Travel between school buildings as needed throughout the workday to serve multiple sites
Adhere to all program guidelines and documentation requirements to support student progress
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology, Speech Communications, or a related field; an AAS degree from an SLPA program is also acceptable
Active SLPA license or certification
Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work onsite daily; virtual arrangements are not available
Willingness to travel between multiple school locations during work hours
