Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner - Clifton Springs Behavioral Health Clinic (Per Diem)
Provide assessment, care and treatment for psychiatric patients being treated for various diagnoses in an outpatient mental health setting. The NP will work as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes a psychiatrist, social workers, licensed mental health counselors and RNs. Attributes

Take complex medical histories on patients referred for consultation. Reach tentative diagnosis and develop treatment plans in conjunction with attending physician. Interact with patients, family members, and public services support, requiring empathy and counseling. Prescribe medication, write orders, perform procedures and respond to emergency condition changes. Obtain complete and accurate patient histories, review records, perform physical exams, and develop comprehensive treatment plans. Education
MS: Nursing (Required) Licenses / Certifications
NP - Nurse Practitioner Certification - New York State Education Department (NYSED) RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED) Physical Requirements
M - Medium Work; Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. Pay Range
