Technicians are the first point of contact for patients and customers and operate as part of the pharmacy team through SOPs, best practices, and effective communication. They contribute to a safe and inclusive culture where all people feel valued and empowered. Responsibilities

Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help Pharmacists manage and improve patient health. Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each workstation (production, pick-up, drive-thru, drop-off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment. Create positive patient experiences through empathy and genuine care at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone; offer immunizations and other services as appropriate; solve or escalate patient problems. Complete basic inventory activities as directed to support pharmacy operations (e.g., stocking, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, waiting bin inventories). Contribute to a high-performing team, embrace a growth mindset, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge. Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs; may travel to stores in the market to support shifts. Understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, professional standards, and CVS policies to ensure patient safety, privacy, and security. Deliver additional patient health care services where allowable by law and supported by training (e.g., immunizations, point-of-care testing, offsite clinics). Where permissible, obtain Technician Immunizer status to support preparing and administering vaccines, and educate patients about vaccines. Required Qualifications

Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing practice, including age, education, and licensure/certification. If not mandated by the state board, minimums may be: at least 16 years old; high school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or GED program. State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state. Essential Functions

Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends. Complete required training within the designated timeframe. Attention and focus with the ability to concentrate on tasks and pivot between tasks to meet patient and business needs. Customer service and team orientation: proactively help people with empathy and respond to patient reactions appropriately. Communication skills: clear verbal and written communication; active listening. Mathematical reasoning: compute days’ supply, quantity, and other dispensing calculations. Problem resolution: identify challenging interactions and choose appropriate actions. Physical demands: mobility, lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, repetitive finger work, visual acuity, and other standard occupational tasks. Other duties as directed by Supervisor or Manager. Preferred Qualifications

1-3 years of Pharmacy Technician experience; prior experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings. Ability to work in the home store and across the market to meet business needs. Other Details

Anticipated weekly hours: 40 Time Type: Full time Pay Range: $18.70 - $27.00 per hour; base pay varies by experience, education, geography, and other factors. Our people fuel our future.
