Provide clinical treatment to patients including screenings, evaluations, direct treatment, and family/caregiver training. Perform evaluations with attention to receptive and expressive language skills, speech fluency, vocal and oral motor competence, articulation, and auditory skills. Coordinate patient care with office staff and other disciplines. Maintain communication with the pediatric patient and family regarding progress, home programs, and other issues related to the therapeutic process. Refer patients and family members to appropriate services including other professionals, agencies, and resources as appropriate. Consult with physicians on patient progress and maintain appropriate records. Maintain supplies and equipment. Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs and Continuing Education. Maintain adequate caseload with appropriate productivity and collaborate with team to achieve goals. Mentor students and new hires where applicable and participate in professional organizations and activities. Serve as backup service provider for other caseloads as needed and comply with company policies and procedures. Education And Work Experience

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Current state-issued professional licensure. Valid state driver license. CPR certification. Pediatric clinical experience preferred. Home health experience preferred. Other Qualifications And Skills

Ability to read and write in simple correspondence with effective public speaking in small groups. Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to interpret instructions and solve practical problems with concrete variables. Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, records keeping and database activity. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Physical Demands/Working Environment

Spends time in standing, walking, reaching, sitting, kneeling, and crawling as part of therapy activities. Frequent use of hands and fingers; able to talk, hear, and communicate effectively. Diverse indoor residential or childcare settings. Moderate physical activity related to therapy tasks. Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Moderate noise level typical of a business office with computers and equipment.
