Neonatal Nurse Practitioner - Green Bay at Bellin Hospital, full-time Position Summary

The position is based in Green Bay at Bellin NICU (90% FTE) with 10% FTE hours at Fox Valley. The role includes a mix of 8-hour day shifts and 24-hour shifts, with weekend and holiday rotation. Working in collaboration with neonatologists, NNPs are responsible for the day-to-day management of critically ill and convalescing infants in the NICU, leading care and coordinating the efforts of the healthcare team. This includes delivery room resuscitation, stabilization, initiation of infant treatment and necessary procedures, prescribing diagnostic testing, medications, and therapies, and providing family support. NNPs hold a leadership position in the NICU. Additional responsibilities include select nursing and medical staff education, consultation, advocacy for patients, families, and nursing staff; involvement in professional development and research; participation and leadership in unit committees and councils; and improvement of unit-specific neonatal outcomes. Responsibilities

Lead day-to-day management of critically ill and convalescing neonates in the NICU Coordinate care with neonatologists and the healthcare team Stabilize and initiate treatment for neonates, including delivery room resuscitation and necessary procedures Prescribe diagnostic testing, medications, and therapies as appropriate Provide family support and education Lead nursing and medical staff education, participate in professional development and research Engage in unit committees and councils to improve neonatal outcomes Qualifications

Master’s Degree in nursing with advanced practice preparation License to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin Current CPR certification (BLS for Healthcare Providers) through American Heart Association or American Red Cross Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner must be obtained within 6 months of hire 2-3 years of related clinical experience with proficiency in complex professional and administrative skills Experience in program development is helpful Children's Wisconsin is an equal opportunity / affirmative action employer.
