UCD Heart Center Per Diem Nurse Practitioner (NURSE PRACT PD) at UC Davis Health. Valid California Registered Nurse License without restriction California Nurse Practitioner Furnishing License California Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) without restriction Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certificate within 3 months of hire American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), or UC Davis Health CPR National NP board certification in aligned specialty with the practice area Master’s degree, DNP or PhD in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing One year or greater experience as nurse practitioner Ability to cope with personal stress, excellent verbal and written communication skills Judgment, self-direction and organizational skills to function in an independent role Ability to meet minimum standards for hospital credentialing and billing as a billable provider Preferred Qualifications
One year or greater experience as nurse practitioner in cardiac specialty Experience in heart failure, VAD, heart transplant, cath lab, EP, treadmill Key Responsibilities

This position reports to the Heart & Vascular Center Advanced Practice Nurse Manager. The NP is an expert in cardiology with focus on direct patient care, education, barriers to care, outpatient follow-up, project management and coordination with outpatient practitioners. Includes acute/subacute clinical care for advanced heart failure, research and program development, education, consults, and daily management with cardiac care teams. Position Information
