Job Summary:

Provides mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and crisis intervention services for adult and/or child members presenting with a broad range of mental health needs. Collaborates with treating physicians and a multidisciplinary team to plan and direct individual treatment programs. Preference for candidates with several years of experience, bilingual abilities, and residing in Fremont, California or surrounding areas. Essential Responsibilities:

Develops, implements, coordinates, and evaluates clinical treatment programs for members with mental illnesses. Participates in staff conferences to select, plan, and evaluate treatment programs. Provides outpatient psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups. Instructs and counsels patients and families on treatment adherence and medication compliance within scope of practice. May administer specialized therapeutic procedures. Supports members' families and may develop psychoeducational classes and groups. Prepares intake summaries, treatment plans, case summaries, and maintains confidential records. Charts treatment progress in accordance with regulations and standards. Participates in department on-call rotation if required. Collaborates with physicians on medication screening and evaluation. Utilizes community resources to meet treatment needs. May develop behavioral medicine and health psychology programs, including in primary care settings. Provides consultation to other care providers and health educators. Supervises eligible post-graduate trainees if qualified. Supports members' families with treatment explanations and adherence strategies. Refers members and families to external resources as needed. Participates in program development, implementation, and evaluation. Reports safety concerns to mandated agencies. Secondary Functions:

EMDR specialty. Basic Qualifications:

Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution. Licensed in California as LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC, with endorsement within 24 months of hire. National Provider Identifier required at hire. Additional Requirements:

Familiarity with DSM-V diagnosis. Experience with severe mental health conditions (e.g., Anxiety, Depression, Bipolar, Schizophrenia). Skilled in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of psychiatric conditions. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Knowledge of social service agencies, regulations, and confidentiality standards. Participation in on-call rotation may be required. Knowledge of Evidence-Based Practices and psychotherapy research. Understanding of bio-psycho-social factors affecting mental health. Accurate diagnosis and effective treatment planning skills. Proficiency in individual, family, and group psychotherapy. Professional maturity and ethical integrity. Commitment to quality service and teamwork. Ability to multitask effectively. Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment. Preferred Qualifications:

Bilingual abilities. Post-licensure experience in outpatient or inpatient psychiatric settings. Experience in crisis intervention and psychotherapy. Demonstrated professionalism, ethical integrity, and commitment to quality and teamwork. Proficiency in diagnosing and developing treatment plans, and in psychotherapy modalities.
