NHUC is looking for an x-ray technologist or technicians to operate x-ray equipment and produce images to aid providers with diagnosing and/or treating diseases or injuries. The technologist will also help with triaging and rooming patients, including taking vitals, reviewing patient history, and summarizing the reason for visit. Key Responsibilities
Responsible for center cleanliness and positive customer service. Prepare patients for radiological procedures; protect patient, self, and staff from radiation hazards; operate radiographic equipment; ensure infection control; adjust radiographic controls; position patients; take x-rays; process and distribute images. Maintain records including patient records, daily logbooks, and monthly reports; perform quality control checks; comply with safety standards. Clean, maintain, and adjust radiographic equipment; determine if repairs are needed. Answer calls and schedule appointments; relay physician messages and test results to patients. Inform providers of abnormal labs/tests; maintain patient confidentiality. Prepare exam rooms and equipment between patient visits; coordinate with front desk on patient flow. Recognize patient distress and take appropriate actions. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Required 1-year degree in Radiographic Technology Current SC license for radiographic technology Limited Practice Radiographer-General Certification accepted Healthcare Provider CPR certification Trained in OSHA/HIPAA compliance Willing to work 12-hour shifts and weekends Willing to work at other centers as needed Effective verbal and written communication skills Ability to reflect our mission, vision, and values through actions and conduct Preferred 2-year degree in Radiographic Technology Full practice radiographer certification
