Position Overview As a Hospitalist, you'll work under a physician’s supervision in the inpatient setting to manage acute and chronic conditions, providing comprehensive care from admission to discharge.
Key Responsibilities
Manage care for patients with hematologic and oncologic malignancies.
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
Develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and order therapies.
Assist in routine diagnostic, therapeutic, and patient care procedures.
Educate patients on procedures, medications, and self-care.
Provide symptom management for treatment-related side effects.
Communicate goals of care and involve physicians in decision-making.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care.
Participate in continuing education and professional development.
Required Experience
Experience in Hospital Medicine required; oncology experience preferred.
Master’s Degree in Nursing.
Active Georgia RN and NP licenses.
National certification by ANCC or AANP.
DEA within 6 months of hire.
BLS and ACLS certifications required.
