Job Summary As an MRI Technologist, you will assist physicians in performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures, ensuring patient safety, equipment functionality, and quality image acquisition.
Responsibilities
Complete required paperwork for every patient, including exams, scheduling, physician orders, department logs, imaging records, consents, medical records, and patient charges.
Transport patients to and from the exam room and emergency department.
Monitor equipment for mechanical safety and explain procedures to reduce patient anxiety.
Position patients on the exam table, adjust immobilization devices, and obtain optimum views of requested body areas.
Collaborate with the Diagnostic Imaging Department to meet patient and departmental needs.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited MRI Technologist program.
Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH).
CT registry preferred; MRI registry required within 6 months of hire for MRI registry‑eligible candidates.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospital‑imaging department; 1 year experience in CT or MRI preferred.
American Heart Association BLS certification required.
