Responsibilities
Review and complete appropriate paperwork for each patient, including exam, scheduling, physician orders, department logs, imaging records, consents, medical records, and patient charges.
Transport patients to and from their rooms and the emergency department.
Monitor equipment for mechanical safety.
Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
Position patients on the examination table and adjust immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified body areas requested by the physician.
Collaborate with the Diagnostic Imaging Department to meet patient care goals.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited MRI Technologist program.
Current licensure or permit in the State of Texas (TDH).
CT registry is preferred.
MRI registry required within 6 months of hire.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a hospital‑imaging department is required.
1 year experience in CT or MRI preferred.
American Heart Association BLS certification required.
