UF Health Regional Physician (Pediatrician) - UF Health Central Florida (Lake and Marion Counties) is a full-time pediatric physician role serving Lake, Sumter, and Marion counties within UF Health Central Florida. The position offers direct patient care including physical examinations, evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for a specified patient population. Responsibilities

Provide full-scope clinical patient care and services, including diagnosis, treatment, coordination of care, preventive care, and health maintenance. Collaborate with the healthcare team, including pharmacists, nurse practitioners, and nursing staff. Review incoming reports (lab, x-ray, EKG) and follow up in a timely manner. Prescribe medications and treatment regimens appropriate to assessed medical conditions. Refer patients to specialists and relevant care components as needed. May manage the daily operations of a specific medical program or patient care unit. Direct and coordinate patient care activities of nursing and support staff as required. Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, ongoing quality improvement, safety, infection control, and environmental standards. Participate in health promotion, education and prevention programs as appropriate to the position. Participate in peer review, quality assurance, provider meetings, and other clinical and operational meetings as requested. Assist in updating protocols and principles of practice as requested. Minimum Requirements

Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes, plus four years of appropriate experience. Completion of a residency program may substitute for the required experience. Preferred Qualifications

Specialty license or certification; Board certified or board eligible in the specified area of medical specialty; Certification/licensure in the state of Florida and Federal DEA Certification. How to Apply
