Responsibilities

Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, or reports. Clean parts thoroughly. Review work activities with supervisor. Assemble units and subassemblies, using lamination presses. Tag components, subassemblies and units as required. Correct defects as directed by Supervisor. Check product to ensure conformance to specifications. Fabricate or modify parts, using shop equipment. Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges. All positions vary in assignment based on the current needs of the business. Lots of potential for cross training. All individuals must be willing and able to be moved throughout the shop to contribute to the success of achieving each day’s goals. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Regularly perform repetitive tasks. Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to read a blueprint and/or follow assembly instructions. Has knowledge of manufacturing processes. Must be able to perform technical assembly.
