Position Overview Join our team of leaders in electrical power system maintenance, repair, testing, engineering, & training. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a New Grad Electrical Engineer – Power Studies, Associate to join our team.
Responsibilities
Electrical Engineering Studies:
Perform power factor analysis, harmonic modeling, grounding analysis, short‑circuits, protective device coordination, and arc‑flash studies.
Engineering Design & Analysis:
Provide engineering‑related design, analysis, and studies; design and troubleshoot protective relaying and controls.
Field Services Support:
Occasionally work with the Field Services team on shutdown, startup, installation, and maintenance projects.
Customer Interaction:
Gather critical information, review engineering plans, and maintain professional relationships with customers.
Hands‑on Engineering:
Be hands‑on with the engineering and field service group.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with a graduation date on or before December 2025; preference for Power Systems studies focus.
Field Work:
Willingness to be hands‑on and work in the field alongside field technicians.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel; experience with SKM, ETAP, ASPEN, EasyPower, or other power system modeling software is a plus.
Communication:
Must effectively communicate in English via verbal and written methods, and directly to customers and co‑workers.
Experience:
Knowledge or high level understanding of performing protective relay projects, short‑circuit, protective device coordination, arc‑flash, and power quality studies is a plus; utility design experience is a plus.
Pay Range USD $30.00 – USD $40.00 /Hr.
