Overview Manage a commercial fleet of 75~150 DOT and NON-DOT vehicles, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and adherence to company policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee vehicle maintenance, repairs, and preventive schedules to ensure operational readiness.
Manage fleet inventory, including vehicle acquisitions and disposals.
Monitor and optimize fuel consumption and fleet costs.
Implement safety programs, including driver training and vehicle inspections, to meet DOT standards.
Ensure compliance with state and local regulations (e.g., vehicle registrations, insurance, and weight limits).
Maintain records for audits, including driver logs and maintenance history.
Use Samsara fleet management software for tracking and reporting.
Assist with negotiation with vendors for parts, services, and repairs.
Other duties as assigned.
Compliance Details
Ensure vehicles meet state-specific safety and emissions standards.
Verify valid vehicle registrations and insurance coverage.
Enforce driver qualification standards (e.g., valid licenses, clean records).
Adhere to local weight and size restrictions for DOT and NON-DOT vehicles.
Maintain accurate records for inspections and compliance with company policies.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in logistics, business, or related field preferred.
5+ years of experience in fleet management or transportation.
Familiarity with DOT and NON-DOT regulations and state-specific compliance.
Proficient in fleet management software and data analysis tools.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean record.

This is a full-time, on-site position located at our Houston, TX office.
Approximately 20% travel required.
