Drive the successful completion of high-quality projects within specified timelines and budgets. Proactively manage scope changes, conduct thorough material assessments, and negotiate contracts to ensure project success. Review various reports to determine project status and determine actions required. Provide periodic status and end of contract cost and budget analysis. Facilitate and participate in project meetings to align with customer expectations and company standards. Lead pre-job planning sessions to ensure clear understanding of project requirements among team members. Assemble and estimate projects. Review the final estimate and ensure the proper loading of those numbers into the project cost system. Communicate all project issues to the appropriate level of management in a timely manner. Document planning meeting results and ensure all action items are completed. Develop and keep current all project schedules. Ensure all schedules mesh with the master project schedule and resolve conflicts when they occur. Prepare and submit monthly contract billings to ensure proper cash flow during contract performance. Protect the company’s interests by managing all financial aspects of the contract. Complete project closeout/inactivation within prescribed period including the final project billing to obtain full funding. Manage conflict resolution with customers, vendors, trades or Partners. Lead and manage other project managers. Provide leadership, share technical expertise and experience to other Partners. Identify and develop policies and procedures for continuous aggressive improvement. Assemble estimates for projects. Visit job sites or onsite offices, perform work inspections, check job progress, and resolve project and contract issues. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field (mandatory). Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in successfully leading projects and programs within the construction or engineering industry. Experience in successfully leading projects and programs, on-schedule and within budget. Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross-functional environment. Proven ability to demonstrate a drive for results and accountability of business needs. Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities.
