Overview
Design and oversee refrigeration and refrigeration control projects in the commercial refrigeration industry. Evaluate system performance and implement upgrades or system replacements to reduce energy consumption and lower environmental impact. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to select and design systems that align with refrigerant regulations and corporate sustainability standards. Train younger engineers on basic system designs and emerging technologies. Effectively communicate design with clients, jurisdictions, and contractors. Strong knowledge of various refrigeration systems (i.e. DX systems, pumped secondary designs, and CO2 transcritical booster configurations) and refrigeration control systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, REVIT, and Excel. Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of refrigeration design experience; OR an associate degree with a minimum of 5 years’ refrigeration design experience and demonstrated applicability to the job description. Responsibilities
