This position reports to
Maintenance Manager
Your role and responsibilities
Guide and instruct mechanics in proper procedures involving equipment repair, movement, and troubleshooting.
Evaluate each job making certain materials and components are available to complete the project.
Develop purchase requisitions, contact vendors, research and order components and materials.
Check all incoming shipments for the department. Verify amounts on packing slips and place in stock.
Interface with supervisor, engineering personnel, Tool Room personnel, and outside vendors on special projects as needed.
Review work orders and assign to maintenance personnel.
Provide feedback and updates to the supervisor on issues concerning department personnel, equipment, scheduling, etc.
Handle hazardous waste from work area to accumulation site.
Observe company safety rules and practices.
Perform other similar or related duties as assigned.
Qualifications for the role
High School Diploma or equivalent
4th Skill level
5-10 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment. Knowledgeable in mechanical & electrical schematics and microprocessor-controlled equipment. PCL/Electronic experience is a plus.
Candidates must already have a work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
