Position Overview The Business Development Manager plays a vital role in the sales organization. This role is responsible for prospecting new accounts and expanding margin dollars in under-penetrated accounts. You’ll play a crucial role in building relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and providing solutions that exceed their expectations.
What You’ll Do
Drive sales for our 2cm, 3cm, and 5cm porcelain pavers within the region and potentially on a national scale
Demonstrate excellent prospecting skills to identify new accounts and key decision-makers through cold calling, networking, and social media.
Prepare and deliver presentations on products and services
Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
Manage a book of business
Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions
Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share it with internal teams
Skills We Are Seeking
Tile experience REQUIRED
Proven experience as a sales representative with a successful track record, preferably in the hardscape or building materials industry
3 to 5 years of new customer sales experience
Proven prospecting, negotiation, conflict resolution, and customer service skills
Knowledge of MS Office; familiarity with CRM software is a plus
Knowledge of sales cycle and solution selling techniques
Ability to think quickly and make decisions
Effective presentation and communication skills
Willingness to travel as needed
College degree in a Business/Management discipline or related experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required
