Associate Governmental Program Analyst
Join the California Department of Social Services as an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA). This permanent, full‑time role focuses on technical support and research to assist with Federal and State data reporting and oversight of California’s child welfare system.
Pay & Benefits Base pay range: $6,031.00 – $7,547.00 per year. Hybrid telework location: Sacramento County. Minimum salary at hire per classification. Additional information available via recruiter.
Responsibilities
Provide complex technical support and research for federal and state data reporting and oversight.
Manage contracts for case review services and conduct quality assurance activities.
Complete case reviews for counties contracting with CDSS.
Facilitate meetings with counties, tribes, and stakeholders.
Analyze data to support continuous quality improvement.
Contribute to the development and delivery of training to address identified needs.
Present findings, updates, or training content to large audiences at conferences, webinars, or other forums.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in public policy, social work, data analysis, or related fields.
Experience conducting complex analysis projects, including data system extraction and stakeholder interviews.
Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to produce technical reports and provide recommendations.
Knowledge of child welfare laws, regulations, and policies is preferred.
Background investigation clearance prior to hire.
Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) required with application.
