Texas Oncology is looking for a PET-CT Technologist to join our team. This position will support the Fort Worth Cancer Center in Fort Worth, TX. This position can be either a level 1, 2 or Senior based on candidate work experience. LTIP is an incentive program that typically vests over three years and is tied to individual performance and the operational success of Texas Oncology. Awards are discretionary and subject to terms; LTIP awards require continued employment through the award date and are governed by the LTIP document. Responsibilities

What does the PET-CT Technologist do? Under general supervision, performs PET imaging procedures and related functions. Collaborates with Medical Director and management on technical issues, equipment performance and QA. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Performs diagnostic PET imaging procedures including injection of radiopharmaceuticals and/or IV contrast, administration of oral contrast, protocol setup, patient positioning, image acquisition and archiving. Assists in procedure scheduling and related front office functions to ensure smooth workflow. Ensures accuracy of patient demographic information, report distribution and patient files. Assists with collection of clinical data for follow-up and development of teaching/educational information. Maintains patient and staff safety per prescribed standards; conducts daily quality control of scanner performance. Reports malfunctions and/or need for service to the appropriate party. Manages patient data and films including printing, archiving, retrieval, network transfers, and tracking of loaned or outside films. Understands contraindications of IV contrast, can recognize possible reactions and knows procedures to follow in case of reaction. Orders necessary office, medical, printing and archiving media. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience: Level 1: Associate or Bachelor degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology from an AMA-accredited program; PET-CT certification; CNMT and/or ARRT(N) certification; state licensure where applicable; 3-5 years nuclear medicine and/or PET experience preferred; knowledge of scheduling and billing systems. Level 2 (in addition to level 1 requirements): minimum 5 years nuclear medicine experience including at least 2 years PET or nuclear medicine experience. Level Sr (in addition to level 1 and 2 requirements): Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology; minimum 4 years nuclear medical PET experience. Competencies
