Pathologist
role at
PathGroup . We’re seeking an AP/CP board-certified/eligible Pathologist to join a collegial team at a community hospital in Chattanooga, TN, part of a multi-hospital regional health system. You’ll practice broad-based general surgical pathology with a steady volume in breast and GI/colon, frequent GU, and non-GYN cytology (including FNA), plus rapid on-site evaluations (ROSE) in collaboration with interventional pulmonology and other procedural services. The environment is collaborative, well-resourced, and plugged into an extensive system network for subspecialty support. Key Highlights
Well-resourced community setting within a comprehensive regional system (multiple hospitals, robust imaging, women’s services, and surgical programs). Cytology-forward practice: mix includes non-GYN cytology and FNAs; ROSE experience (EBUS/TBNA, bronch) is a plus. Regional partners in the area are using Ion robotic-assisted bronchoscopy; comfort supporting ROSE in that context is valuable. Balanced generalist work: breast and GI/colon are common; GU, peripheral smear reviews, and “see-anything” general surgical pathology are part of the day-to-day. System reach & support: access to an extensive PathGroup network and modern hospital resources, including advanced surgical technologies adopted across the system. No autopsies. About The Practice
Chattanooga-based community hospital within a regional health system serving Southeast Tennessee/Northwest Georgia, offering comprehensive medical/surgical, oncology, cardiovascular, and women’s services (including a separate women’s & newborns facility with Level III NICU). System-wide investments in advanced technology (e.g., newest generation surgical robotics), reflecting a modernization mindset and strong capital support. About Chattanooga, TN
