Overview
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary critical care unit at Henry Ford Health Macomb Hospital. Responsibilities
The NP or PA will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to critically ill patients and their families. APP provides inpatient medical care for critically ill patients requiring ICU level of care. Works in collaboration with intensivist physicians, attending physicians, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently. Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience. 1+ years cardiac surgery ICU/CVICU experience as an APP preferred Education/Experience Required
Bachelor's degree or Completion of an AMA-approved Physician Assistant program minimum OR Nurse Practitioner degree 1+ years cardiac surgery ICU/CVICU experience as an APP preferred Certifications/Licensure Required
Michigan licensure and continued certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA) OR current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse. Current ACLS/BLS as required. Current ATLS/PALS provider status as required. Additional Information
