Job Description Scope of Position The Supervisor is responsible for nursing operations within University Hospitals during off-shift hours, including weekends and holidays. They enforce hospital, nursing, and medical policies and procedures. The Ohio State University Medical Center aims to enhance patient care quality. Position Summary Supervise patient care during a shift, including rounds and updates on patient status. Supervise nursing personnel, evaluate staff, and recommend personnel actions. Coordinate nursing activities with related departments and serve as liaison to OSUH. Provide staffing information and act as hospital representative during crises or emergencies. Minimum Education Required 2-Year College Degree or equivalent with a nursing major. Additional Education Desired Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a nursing major. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited nursing school, current Ohio licensure. Professional leadership or clinical certification preferred or obtained within 1 year. Experience in hospital nursing administration and supervision. ACLS certification preferred. Additional Information Location: Doan Hall (0089) Position Type: Regular Scheduled Hours: 40 Shift:
