$52,000.00/yr - $79,000.00/yr What You’ll Do
This role will focus on the design of complex electrical systems across a diverse range of markets, while collaborating with field staff, contractors, architects, and engineers to ensure quality and compliance from concept through construction. Project types include: Federal, Justice, K-12, Higher Education, Corporate Commercial, Retail, Multifamily & Assisted Living, Hospitality, Cultural & Historic, Data Centers, Industrial, Residential, Military/DoD facilities and bases, and Wastewater facilities. Key Responsibilities
Design complicated and various types of electrical systems utilized within the respective markets listed above. Create and evolve system designs from concept to final construction document phase. Perform analyses and apply problem solving techniques to develop creative, innovative solutions. Perform a variety of complicated tasks and critical thinking. Apply critical thinking to execute a variety of complex technical tasks across multiple project types. What You’ll Bring
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited engineering program; or Associate’s Degree in a related field or 2-year technical degree or certificate of completion from an accredited designer/drafter course (or equivalent), demonstrated experience without a technical degree or certification will be considered. Targeting 0-3 years’ experience in electrical design (entry-level and early-career candidates encouraged). Knowledge of electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting and lighting controls, grounding/bonding preferred but not required. Knowledge of Autodesk products (i.e., AutoCAD and Revit), power analysis software such as EasyPower and SKM is a plus but not required. Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices and procedures. Review, understand, and apply local, state and federal codes and standards related to the design and construction of project facilities. Must be able to follow and properly apply market specific guidelines, the practices and policies of the associated local and building codes, discipline, divisions and firm. Proficient with the most current version of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is a plus but not required. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Why PRIME AE?
