In this role, you will lead a team and manage project cost estimating, analysis, and control activities. You will identify cost trends for management attention, support project organizational and administrative activities, and ensure work is completed as scheduled. Your data analysis will provide innovative solutions to cost engineering challenges, and your leadership will be essential to project success. Major Responsibilities
Develop cost trend estimates to support project cost trend programs. Prepare and present cost trend reports to project management. Provide recommendations and commentary on cost engineering requirements related to construction. Develop detailed staffing plans for cost engineering activities. Apply unit rates to quantities for accurate cost analysis. Support the timely preparation and submission of cost estimates. Prepare and analyze scope, quantity, and cost comparisons. Assist Commercial Management in the evaluation and development of claims. Oversee timely execution of cost control activities. Supervise cost recording, monitoring, and reporting to ensure compliance with applicable standards, accuracy, and consistency. Evaluate study results and recommend findings for project team consideration and decision-making. Education and Experience
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge and Skills
Proven experience in cost engineering functions including cost estimating, cost control, financial reporting systems, and cost analysis. Supervision, personnel administration, and training of technical and non-technical staff. Ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present cost engineering and estimating deliverables with minimal supervision. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and general PC operating systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Familiarity with engineering and construction management practices. Ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Oil, Gas & Chemicals (OG&C), LNG projects. Proficiency in EcoSys or similar discipline-specific applications. Knowledge of industry trends and technical innovations.
