We are seeking an experienced Manager, Project Engineering to oversee the technical execution of utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. This role is ideal for a professional looking to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a collaborative team. The position offers the opportunity to contribute across the full project lifecycle from development through commissioning while managing engineering quality, compliance, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the technical review of project design packages at various stages (30%, 60%, 90%, Issued for Construction).
Evaluate technical aspects of contracts, ensuring alignment with engineering standards and project goals.
Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Track engineering deliverables to ensure they meet project schedules and milestones.
Provide technical support during all project phases, from early development to final commissioning.
Collaborate with EPC contractors, equipment vendors, and consultants to address and resolve technical issues.
Support resolution of RFIs (Requests for Information) and NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
Work closely with internal teams, including project management, procurement, and operations, to drive project execution.
Identify potential technical risks and develop solutions to maintain project performance and integrity.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar and/or energy storage engineering.
Proven track record of technical oversight on at least five utility-scale solar or battery energy storage projects.
Strong knowledge of project design and construction processes for large-scale renewable energy systems.
Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
