Hourly Rate:
$39-$43/hour, depending on experience. Eligible for overtime pay in accordance with state and federal guidelines. Remote Position – West Coast US Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Field Service Technician is to travel to customer sites throughout the continental United States with a focus on the West Coast, providing repairs and scheduled Preventative Maintenance for Alma Lasers equipment. This role may also involve Level 2 technical troubleshooting via phone. This position primarily services West Coast customers.
Preferred locations include: California Arizona Utah This is a remote role requiring candidates to reside near the West Coast. Join our culture at Alma! Essential Functions:
Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning medical instruments or equipment. Repair equipment after diagnosis. Read diagrams and schematics for full board swaps as needed. Test machines post-repair for proper functionality. Maintain repair documentation. Provide Level 2 support via phone. Follow safety and health policies. Perform low voltage electrical repairs using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other tools. Schedule and perform preventive maintenance, service calls, and installations. Collaborate with the Client Relations team to resolve customer issues. Calibrate devices with test equipment like power meters. Mentor other field service personnel. Create troubleshooting documents for the Client Relations team. Competencies:
Planning Problem Solving/Analysis Technical Capacity Organizational Skills Customer Communication Ability to retain large amounts of information Education & Experience:
Associate's degree in electrical/electronic repair or equivalent experience. 4+ years of field service experience. Component-level repair experience preferred. ISO 13485 knowledge preferred. Skills Required:
Positive attitude and teamwork mindset. Ability to read diagrams and schematics. Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook. Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce preferred. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to multitask. Additional Details:
This role involves no direct reports but mentoring peers and departments as needed. Work environment includes office and medical field settings, using standard office equipment and hand tools. Physical demands include lifting up to 70 pounds, climbing, and other physical activities. Travel requirement: 75-90%. Eligibility to work in the US is required.
