Maintenance Project Manager II / District Five / District Maintenance
This position manages the rest area and weigh station asset management program and prepares supplemental agreements and contracts for maintenance activities.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
Develop, oversee, manage, and administer multiple contracts, including reviewing, monitoring, and coordinating work orders, asset maintenance, and performance-based contracts.
Administer all contract requirements, enforce the Maintenance Rating Program (MRP), and ensure timely fiscal management.
Coordinate with various offices to develop and implement the Maintenance Contract Program.
Monitor projects for compliance with contract documents and policies; review technical proposals and advise review committees.
Process invoices, resolve non-compliance issues, and manage project documentation.
Attend project meetings, manage project performance, and facilitate work order issuance.
Review inspection reports, verify pay estimates, and handle contract modifications and claims.
Coordinate FHWA approvals and inspections, recommend project acceptance, and perform evaluations and close-outs.
Act as liaison for Work Program Design and Construction Projects within Asset Maintenance Contract limits.
Manage public relations, address customer concerns, and communicate with officials and the public.
Provide technical and engineering support to resolve project issues.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
Engineering principles, construction plans, contract specifications, and administration.
Roadway construction and maintenance procedures.
Microsoft Office software.
Skills in:
Using engineering tools and instruments.
Reviewing and negotiating contracts.
Managing claims and time extensions.
Processing payments through computer applications.
Ability to:
Monitor and inspect engineering projects.
Analyze data and prepare reports.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Plan, organize, and coordinate work.
Establish effective working relationships.
Other Job-Related Requirements:
Respond to emergencies as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent plus two years of infrastructure design, construction, or maintenance experience, or an Associate’s Degree.
