in Greensboro, North Carolina.
What You Will Do
Become proficient in Manufacturing Work Instruction (MWI) processes and tools to create MWIs and other training instruments bringing clarity, efficiency, and improved quality to production lines
Review and revise manufacturing support documents including MWIs, standard work, etc. to bring up to date and standardize manufacturing documentation
Participate in new process and equipment use to learn systems that will be documented to address customer support request cases, other noted countermeasure items, or items noted during Kaizen events
Support manufacturing projects & other sustainment or New Product Introduction (NPI) support
Provide manufacturing technical assistance to internal Gilbarco customers (Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing)
Support awareness of and implementation of significant safety & environmental compliance obligations within operations
Have significant ongoing interaction and communications with department peers and representatives from other functional groups, i.e. Quality, Maintenance, Design Engineering, production supervisors, and production personnel (External interaction and communications with suppliers and/or vendors may also be required)
Other duties as assigned
Who You Are
2 to 4 years manufacturing production experience preferred
Basic troubleshooting skills and component level installation skills
Good mechanical aptitude required, basic electrical aptitude a plus
Proficiency in computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook required
Associate degree preferred, not required, but can accelerate advancement in this or another related career path within the organization/team
