Overview
Weeks Marine & Kiewit are seeking an experienced Safety Manager for marine infrastructure projects in Guam. The role supports, audits, and reinforces a safety‑oriented program that prevents harm to employees, contractors, and the environment. Location
This position is located in Guam. Current residency or relocation to Guam is required. Responsibilities
Drive and manage the project‑level environmental health and safety program. Compile, analyze, and interpret occupational illness and accident data. Recommend process and product safety features to reduce exposure to chemical, physical, and biological hazards. Inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Monitor workforce for unsafe behaviors and coach employees on correct behaviors. Develop environmental health and safety training materials, including manuals, brochures, and presentations. Track training records and manage paperwork for all safety training initiatives. Interpret safety regulations for the project and coordinate safety training to support client requirements such as new hire orientation, fall protection, confined space, lockout/tagout, and guardianship. Interface with OSHA and other officials during site visits. Qualifications
Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or related field. At least 5 years of experience managing safety on construction projects, especially heavy civil construction. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, hazard recognition, record keeping, and injury management. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team. CPR, First Aid, and EMS certifications are preferred. OSHA/MSHA instructor certifications are preferred. Compensation
Base pay range: $130,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on education, experience, skillset, and location. Benefits
