Description Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is hiring a Professional Engineer for our Dumfries, VA operation.
The Professional Engineer provides direct oversight of design and manages the quality assurance and quality control process for the work being performed by the design team. You will be responsible for performing engineering work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic manner. The Engineer is also responsible for evaluating and estimating all design work as well as assisting with design and project management of complex projects as needed. Checks cable sizing, voltage drop, flicker, and performs system modeling as needed. Coordinates and schedules design resources and has responsibility for all engineering design on the project(s). You must be a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Virginia and stamps drawings when required.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil or Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline degree required
Hold current Professional Engineer License in the Commonwealth of Virginia
Advanced knowledge of electrical distribution design principles
Maintain QA/QC processes and requirements
Knowledge of applicable regulations, related codes, and standards
Abilities to plan and schedule work independently; to lead and teach Designers; to complete designs for large and/or complex systems
