Team Fishel, the Best Choice Employer in the utility construction business, is hiring a Professional Engineer for our Dumfries, VA operation. Responsibilities
Provide direct oversight of design and manage the quality assurance and quality control processes for the work being performed by the design team. Perform engineering work activities and projects requiring the application of engineering knowledge in a safe, effective, efficient and economic manner. Evaluate and estimate all design work as well as assisting with design and project management of complex projects as needed. Check cable sizing, voltage drop, flicker, and perform system modeling as needed. Coordinate and schedule design resources and have responsibility for all engineering design on the project(s). You must be a Professional Engineer licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia and stamp drawings when required. Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Civil or Electrical Engineering or related Engineering discipline degree required. Hold current Professional Engineer License in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Advanced knowledge of electrical distribution design principles. Maintain QA/QC processes and requirements. Knowledge of applicable regulations, related codes, and standards. Ability to plan and schedule work independently; to lead and teach Designers; to complete designs for large and/or complex systems. Benefits
