Define construction scope areas for Request for Proposals to General Contractors. Review bid summaries, schedules and milestones, pricing, in subcontractor level bid evaluations. Evaluate contract bids, proposals, and scoping documents with detail and accuracy and assist in negotiations with general contractors. Assist in the management of GC and other third-party vendors delivering preconstruction services during the design phase. Support crafting contracting documents (i.e., Work Orders, Purchase Orders, Work Letters). Craft contract project handoff documentation to Construction Manager partners. Collect, evaluate, and share lessons learned to direct teammates, and peers in design, and construction teams to achieve continuous improvement across the entire program. Develop knowledge of data center design and its equipment (Generators, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Switchgear, Transformers, Power Feeders & Busduct, Chillers, Plumbing, Fire Detection/Suppression, Air Handling Units, CRAC/CRAH Units). Perform general constructability reviews of scopes associated with the construction of new data centers buildings and sites to ensure completeness. Travel up to 25% of the time. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Civil, Structural, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent STEM field. With experience in: Design or construction experience of logistics, warehousing, infrastructure, mission critical facilities or data center delivery (design, commissioning, construction) or equivalent. Ability to read, comprehend and assess construction documents, specifications, and due diligence memorandums. Experience in construction project delivery. Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with cross functional teams to deliver complex construction projects. Able to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, with use of data to justify conclusions, to create and communicate concepts to diverse audiences. Experience in developing and maintaining effective document control procedures. Experience with design or construction of data centers, critical infrastructure, or large-scale MEP plants; and with systems, controls, commissioning, power management, and technical operations of data centers critical infrastructure, or large-scale MEP plants. Professional licensure in AEC fields. Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, IBC, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA. The base pay for this position ranges from $83,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
