Accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year. Working from home, the Full-Time Speech Language Pathologist provides virtual speech therapy to K-12 students enrolled in Connections Academy virtual public schools. The SLP connects with students via webcams and web conferencing, using the company’s Education Management System to manage caseload. Responsibilities
Provide high quality speech language services to assigned students while supporting program implementation Plan and implement individual and group therapy in a virtual environment Be an expert on assigned school and state policies and procedures for implementing LiveSpeech services Maintain a positive working relationship between the LiveSpeech team, and the schools and programs served Review and analyze a variety of reports to maintain compliance Maintain a high level of communication with the leadership team and school staff Timely and thorough documentation of therapeutic interventions and progress reports Meet bi weekly with supervisor Conduct screenings and formal and informal evaluation of all students’ communication needs using documented best practices Communicate regularly with parents/learning coaches and school special education staff to ensure IEP goals are met and needs addressed promptly Consult with teachers and coordinate the implementation of specially designed instruction as defined in the IEP for students with speech/language needs Special Education case management for select students whose only special education need is speech therapy, including scheduling, organizing and conducting IEP meetings in a virtual environment Assist, as needed, with organization and proper implementation of all paperwork, documentation and procedures for the IEP process for select students Maintain accurate data in the Education Management System and related special education software Adhere to laws and company policies regarding data protection and security Obtain and maintain all required licenses and clearances as assigned Complete required professional development and CEUs to maintain credentials and meet company compliance standards Exemplify the company’s core values (brave, decent, imaginative, accountable, curious, customer-centric, collaborative) Complete additional duties as assigned Requirements
MA or MS in Speech Language Pathology and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence Valid Pennsylvania Licensure in Speech Pathology Ability to obtain and maintain multiple required state certifications and clearances as assigned 2+ years of experience in a K-12 school setting Strong technology skills High degree of flexibility and ability to work independently Excellent communication skills, both oral and written Must be able to use a personal electronic device and an email address for two-step authentication Equipment
