Emergency Associate Veterinarian – Overnight at Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists (CCVS). CCVS has locations in Dennis and Buzzards Bay and is Cape Cod’s premier emergency and specialty referral hospital, serving Cape Cod and the Islands with exemplary care. This role is focused on high-quality emergency medicine in a fast-paced environment. Why Join CCVS?
At CCVS, you’ll collaborate with a skilled nursing staff and experienced clinicians in a bustling emergency room that values education and patient-centered care. We support continuous learning and offer opportunities to work with ECC doctors and specialists, including in-house internships, residency programs, and CE opportunities. Responsibilities
Manage and treat a wide range of emergency and critical care cases, using strong diagnostic and therapeutic skills. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including surgeons and internists, to deliver high-quality patient care. Communicate effectively with pet owners to guide them through difficult and critical situations with compassion. Mentor interns and veterinary support staff to develop clinical skills and foster a learning environment. Maintain accurate medical records in accordance with hospital protocols and ensure thorough documentation for continuity of care. Work efficiently in a high-volume setting, prioritizing patient needs and demonstrating adaptability. Qualifications and Attributes
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree or equivalent; all state licensing requirements completed. DEA license (state and federal). Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Compassionate, client-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality medicine. What We Offer
